The United States Academic Decathlon is a ten-event scholastic competition for teams of high school students. Students meet as a semester one class with occasional weekend scrimmages and the district competition: students who make the final competition team of 9 travel to regional and state competition during the second semester. |

Math Club is open to any Pearce student interested in math and willing to help tutor other students. Dues are $20 (cash only) In order to be in Mu Alpha Theta (a nationally recognized math honor society), students must be a member of math club, be enrolled in a math class (Algebra II or higher), have an overall gpa of 85 or higher, have an overall math average of 90 or higher (all semester math grades, including Pre-AP and AP points, must average to 90 or above), and volunteer to help tutor other students in math 12 times a year during Advisory at Pearce. |

The Pacesetter Drill Team is the official Dance and Drill Team of JJ Pearce High School. Team members are in 10-12 grade; tryouts are held each December. New members serve as “Pacesetter Rookies” during the Spring Semester before officially joining the team for the following school year. The Pacesetters perform at all Varsity football games, pep rallies, additional JJPHS athletic events, host an annual Holiday Bazaar, Dance Workshop for future Pacesetters, and participate in many local dance competitions. In April, the Pacesetters put on a spectacular Spring Show, Pacesetter Revue, which highlights their many talents as well as those of other students/performance groups of JJPHS. |
